Olivia Grégoire, Secretary of State for Social Economy: a very positive signal for responsible leaders

On Sunday, 26 July 2020, Olivia Grégoire was appointed Secretary of State for Social Economy. The CJD welcomes this appointment and sends all its best wishes to Olivia Grégoire as she begins this new chapter. It warmly thanks the High Commissioner for Social and Solidarity Economy and Social Innovation, Christophe Itier, for all his commitments to the responsible economy.

Olivia Grégoire, who largely contributed to the drafting of the Pacte law, will know how to make this State Secretariat a driving force for the recognition and deployment of well-intentioned companies.

The CJD welcomes the creation of this State Secretariat and its integration into the scope of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. This annexation, which finally puts the Social and Solidarity Economy at the heart of the economy, will help this sector benefit from Bercy’s political agenda and change scale, with a shift in the economy as a whole towards social and environmental excellence on the horizon.

We share a strong belief at the CJD: that the economy of tomorrow will have to be social and united as a whole. The redefinition of Bercy’s portfolio moves in this direction. In the aftermath of the economic and health crisis, we can only welcome this decision that favours a temperate and responsible economy,” said Emeric Oudin, President of the CJD.
Next step hoped for by the CJD: a revision of the 2014 law on the social and solidarity economy, with the aim of redefining the scope of the impact economy.
